  • WINEMAKING PROCESS

Grown in Beechworth on decomposed granite at 500m elevation, this wine is the first of our Terroir Series, our winemaker grown wine. This was the seventh Chardonnay vintage of the Black Springs Vineyard, a beautiful growing season with warm-mild temperatures. The grapes were hand-picked on February 15, 2023, then basket pressed. They went through full lees fermentation and were aged in 20% new oak for 18 months before bottling in August 2025.

  • THE LABEL STORY

This label represents the first of our Terroir Series wines. A new range that pays tribute to the land on which the grapes were grown. The reddish-brown colouring signifies the decomposed granite soil of the Black Springs vineyard. The deep gradient from the base of the label to the top represents the colouring of the granite as it oxidises close to the soil surface. The embossed gold frame appears as in all of our labels, this time reflecting the rows of vines.
